About "Store brands"

 

In japanese vintage lovers called "Store Brands" some clothing for workers.

"Store Brands" mean the clothing which was sold Sears, Montgomery Ward, or J.C.Penney.

These stores have own brands.

 

For instance...

#Sears had Hercules brand.

#Montgomery Ward had Powrhouse brand.

#J.C.Penney had BIGMAC brand.

 

Some clothing were made by original equipment manufacturer.

For example...

 

#Some Sears Roebuck's Hercules brand leather jackets were made by Buco or RoughWear.

Buco made Sears Roebuck's leather jacket is quoted from "Motorcycle Leather Jackets" by Rin Tanaka.

Roughwear made Hercules jacket, because some of hercules jacket are sewed Roughwear's patented label.

#Buco is the famous manufacturer of motorcycle leather jacket and RoughWear is same as A-2 leather jacket.

 

There are many mysteries that which manufacture made which brands.

I research that and it's very fun

Because I'm surprised that popular Manufacturers made some of "Store Brands"

1954 Montgomery Ward Catalog.

The brands which were sold on the catalog.

There were several way to sell them.

1.Sold as their own brand

2.Sold as their own brand with Montgomery Ward brand

3.Sold as Montgomery Ward brand. This way is the original equipment manufacturing.
